During my undergraduate years at Howard University, I majored in Broadcast Journalism, where I gained the necessary skills to produce a newscast. I was also able to create my own packages and experience the life of a young video journalist.

As a creative, I was naturally more interested in covering an entertainment, cultural beat, but being located in the nation’s capital, professors urged us to cover more political, hard news. Upon completing my Senior Capstone, I learned that the story behind the news is the most important part. It’s how you invoke emotions and connect to your readers/viewers.

I am hoping to continue growing my reel and portfolio. But, here is a look at some of my previous work as a journalist.
